What’s one thing most hometowns have in common? Nicknames. Whether it be the area code, an alias, or a simple slogan these things make your hometown. Hometowns can make you who you are and may even define you as a “Local”. Providing you with seemingly permanent accents, already picked sports teams, and memories that can’t be replaced. Everyone's hometown means a little something different to each native.
Behold each hometown: the defining buildings, each small element, and the symbolic nickname holding it all together. Visit your hometown. Smell the trees, feel the breeze, drive the roads and look back on the memories.
Animation. Such a scary word for those of us who specialize in graphic art. Everything in this world can seem scary if you let it. Those who know me, know I’m not scared. What’s a portfolio without a little movement anyways.
The post office line is stressful enough, spoken from someone who rarely goes to the post office. Not only do you have to go to the store to buy a card and an envelope, you then have to take it to the dreaded post office for a stamp. After standing in line for 30 minutes you get your stamp. And what is? Another waving American flag. I got so sick of seeing the generic flag that didn’t represent me or the things I liked. So I did what I do best, create something better. Hope you enjoy them.
You remember those nights, staying up late watching 90s CARTOONS! This series is inspired by every late night adventure of clicking through TV guide. Each character in this series was apart of a few of my favorite cartoon show I enjoyed as a child. Don’t forget the snacks.
Growing up I would dream of organs. Maybe that’s because my mom is a nurse and would come home and talk about her day or maybe it’s something else. I started the design of these playing cards as a challenge and exploration project. The packaging details, each individual card, and the overall illustration comes together perfectly. Every card includes an essential organ and a numerical digit, ranking the importance of each organ however I saw fit.
I always give “Maximum Effort” because “This city needs me". When edits come in, I am “Back in a flash”. Design gives me power and "With great power, comes great responsibility."
"Hulk smash!” enough said.
Logos, what everyone thinks I create all day. I have made a lot of logos in my career. It's not something I love, but it’s something I value. I love creating brand standards and the logo is a big part of that. These are just a few fun logos I made for me. I relish in the simplicity.
