When You Think of Home

When You Think of Home”, A collective of artists and their perspectives of home, is a non-profit project that I participated in. Spending most of my childhood in Greenville, South Carolina, that is where I called home. While designing this poster, I wanted to capture a little of everything that made it home. The thick outline of the geometric shapes acts to the playful nature I remember having as a child. When choosing a color palette, I focused on my emotions when thinking about Greenville. The grey tones of the color palette represent how now as an adult I don’t remember every detail of home but one always has bright colors of memories. Notice diverse homes, landmarks, and of course Greenville's major highway. When visiting Greenville, head downtown to Falls Park on the Reedy, watch a play at The Peace Center, or enjoy a day at the Greenville Zoo.

When You Think of Home is a community of artists determined to help. They do this through the sale of art that directly benefits Acres of Love, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing care, a family, and forever homes to orphans in South Africa.
